Why is a single-source important? Why does USDA Organic certification matter?
Why? Because conventional henna products keep disappointing customers.
Spend any time in henna communities – https://reddit.com/r/henna – and you will find the same complaints on repeat: chemical burns, inconsistent results, mystery brands with hidden ingredients. Troubles with henna and doubts about henna quality, safety or purity are frequent, recurring topics. Customers are regularly burned (chemically) by bad henna, disappointed by inconsistent quality and, for good reason, worried about what’s in their henna.
These problems have a cause. Most conventional henna is processed in high-volume factories fed by bags of leaves from many farms, bought and sold as a commodity with lots of incentives for farmers, traders and factories to adulterate the product. A test sample taken from that stream of commodity henna tells you only about about that sample of henna — it cannot tell you anything about the henna in the retail package.
Lawsonia inneris (henna) is an ancient but simple product – and getting safe, good quality henna shouldn’t be a fraught and doubtful experience.
Hennaran® is different. A properly certified organic henna from a single-source, Hennaran® provides verifiably pure, good quality henna at a reasonable price
How Hennaran® is different:
Single-source keeps traceability simple and testing honest. Every batch comes from one farm, one harvest lot. Our tested samples are the same material as our retail product. Our test results tell you about the henna in our retail packages.
USDA Organic certification keeps us and our supply chain accountable. Every step, from the farm in India to our US importer is documented, audited, and verifiable. Beyond that, we publish our organic certificates, transaction certificates, batch test results and NOP import certificates. You don’t have to take our word for it.

Farm & Organic Certification

Introduction
Henna is an agricultural product. Its quality depends on soil, climate, harvest timing, drying conditions, processing temperature, storage, and freshness. Hennaran Organic Henna Powder overcomes these variables because it is grown, processed and packaged from a single certified-organic farm.

The Farm Behind Every Pouch
Our henna comes from a single family farm in Rajasthan, India, where Lawsonia inermis has been cultivated for generations.
Our henna is not purchased from the local market where henna leaves are sold as a commodity, blended from any number of sources, remixed and resold, processed and packaged by intermediaries.
Key characteristics:
– Small family farm
– Dedicated henna cultivation
– Controlled harvesting and drying
– Direct relationship, not spot-market purchasing
